Since 1999, CASA for Lancaster County (casa4lancaster.org) has been working to train and support volunteers to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. To celebrate this incredible milestone, they had a special dinner— open to the public—on October 24! Attendees were able to enjoy a delicious meal, support CASA and help the staff in celebrating 25 brilliant years providing a voice for abused and neglected children in the community and giving them the support they need to thrive.

The dinner was filled with great food and inspiring stories, with awards being given out in support of the hard work of CASA volunteers. CASA also honored retired Juvenile Court Judge Linda Porter with a CASA Champion award for her support of CASA and her work on behalf of at-risk children in Lancaster County.

When everything else in a child’s life is in chaos, a CASA is a stable adult presence giving the child a fighting chance to gain a voice, achieve safety and stability and develop a sense of self-worth. Learn more and support them at casa4lancaster.org.
