The Bridge Behavioral Health (thebridgenebraska.org) is thrilled to welcome Dr. Ashley Marcuccio as their new Medical Director—a dedicated psychiatrist whose career and personal journey make her a powerful advocate for mental health and addiction recovery. Dr. Marcuccio’s passion for psychiatry began at Kansas City University, where she first recognized the deep impact of mental illness on individuals and families alike. Through her training at The University of Kansas Hospital, she gained firsthand experience working with diverse patient populations facing complex challenges, including mental health and substance use disorders.

A Nebraska native, Dr. Marcuccio brings both expertise and a profound commitment to helping those who often feel unseen. “I’ve seen too many individuals’ basic needs go unmet, and too often medical concerns for those with mental health struggles are ignored,” she shares. With a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Marcuccio is uniquely qualified to serve both youth and adults—a reflection of her passion for supporting all ages on their path to wellness.

What drew Dr. Marcuccio to The Bridge was their shared belief that each day sober is a win worth celebrating. She appreciates The Bridge’s commitment to clients, whether in times of success or setback, and feels that our mission aligns perfectly with her own. With Dr. Marcuccio at the helm as Medical Director, they are confident that her compassionate leadership will inspire change and provide a beacon of hope for the community.
