Jason Ball, President & CEO – Lincoln Chamber of Commerce

The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce (lcoc.com) is proud to once again partner with the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry to present the 2026 Federal Legislative Summit this August. For nearly two decades, this signature policy event has connected Nebraska’s business community with our federal delegation to discuss the policies and priorities shaping our economy, our communities and our future.

That tradition continues on Wednesday, August 12, when business and community leaders from across Nebraska will gather at the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace

Museum in Ashland for this year’s Federal Legislative Summit. The program will feature members of Nebraska’s federal delegation, along with a keynote address from Ross Perot, Jr., Chairman of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, who will provide a national perspective on the economic and policy issues influencing businesses across the country.

This long-standing event began in 2009, following the collapse of Lehman Brothers, when the Lincoln Chamber launched the Federal Fly-Back: Bringing D.C. Home. Rather than asking business leaders to travel to Washington, D.C., the Lincoln Chamber brought Nebraska’s federal delegation home to discuss the issues affecting local employers and our state’s economy. This inaugural event quickly demonstrated the value of those conversations. Soon after, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry joined as co-hosts, transforming the event into a statewide collaboration. That partnership has continued ever since, helping establish the Federal Legislative Summit as one of Nebraska’s premier forums for business and public policy discussions.

Today, the importance of those conversations is stronger than ever. From tax policy and workforce challenges to infrastructure, trade and economic development, federal decisions continue to shape the environment in which Nebraska businesses operate. The Federal Legislative Summit provides an opportunity to hear directly from policymakers, better understand the issues affecting our state and engage in meaningful dialogue about Nebraska’s future.

I encourage business leaders spanning every industry to join us for this important conversation. I also want to thank Nebraska’s federal delegation for their continued commitment to engaging with Nebraska’s business community, as well as the Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum for once again serving as an exceptional host venue. I hope you will join us on August 12 for this highly anticipated annual event. Reserve your individual seat or corporate table today at lcoc.com/events and participate in a morning full of thoughtful conversations and legislative insight into the future of Nebraska and our nation.
