The Furfect Employees of Downtown Lincoln

Working in Downtown Lincoln, you would be surprised how many pets come with us to work. Pets help reduce stress and are a fun distraction from work from time to time. These Lincolnites are sometimes lucky enough to have an office or business that allows them to bring their pet to work.

A Novel Idea—Owner Cinnamon Dokken notes that their office pets, Charlie and Eddy, are kind of downtown celebrities and definitely the most popular staffers at the bookstore.

Arts Incorporated—No dogs here, but everything else! Two cats—Kit and Kat—an office cockatoo named Sophie, and three large aquariums are here to encourage office productivity. Not to mention the 35-40 potted plants that make the office an urban jungle. Co-founder Dean Haist brings along Kit and Kat, who are brother and sister, each day.

Burlington Antiques—Don’t mistake Sophie’s sad puppy eyes, she is just tired from playing with the other dogs that come into the business. She’s been zooming around those aisles for the past three years.
