Zen Coffee Company (zencoffeecompany.com) has finally made its way to Lincoln!
Zen Coffee Company opened its doors on August 3, 2024.
This family-owned business prides itself on its connections, whether that be through a friendly environment or giving a portion of its profits right back to the community. Supporting local non-profits has been at the heart of this company’s mission for the past seven years.
Nebraska natives Abby and Ryan McLeay used their talents to create a business that represents their values, which they instilled into Zen Coffee’s daily practices.
When getting into the coffee shop business, the McLeays’ had a few goals from the start: create a green company, support their community, and create a space for their employees to thrive.
Zen Coffee Company strives to follow its green business philosophy and is waste-free with the support of Hillside Solutions. All food, grounds, straws, tea sachets, and paper products are composted or recycled in-house. Zen combats their waste dispense with in-house tableware and biodegradable containers and cutlery.
This is the first Zen Coffee Company location in Lincoln and the fourth location in total; the other three reside in Omaha.
Located on 13th and O street, between Brothers Bar & Grill and O’Rourkes Tavern, Zen Coffee has already started making an impact in Downtown Lincoln.
One thing that differentiates this coffee shop to others in Downtown Lincoln, is their coffee flights. If decisions are not your forte, try up to four different coffees as once with the Zen Coffee Flight. Zen Coffee Company also offers lemonade flights for those who struggle with choices.
Zen Coffee Company is open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
