Our July Friends4Lunch was extra special. For one, we were able to dine at a brand new restaurant in town—El Potro Mexican Restaurant (www.facebook.com/profile). Their menu did not disappoint! Our attendees were able to try a variety of authentic Mexican dishes, including Fajitas, enchiladas, burritos, taquitos, the chimichanga, Arroz con Pollo, tortas, and much more. The margaritas were tasty as well! Everyone really enjoyed themselves. We were also able to honor our dear friend, Don Miltner, Jr. Don recently passed away, and he left behind a big empty chair at the table—one that will never be filled quite like he was able to. Don was very involved in community organizations. Those who had the opportunity of meeting Don know how enthusiastic he was, and we were blessed to have his energy at each Friends4Lunch event for over three years. He really was the ultimate “friend for lunch”.

Giddy on over to Shotguns Bar (facebook.com/shotgunslincoln), located on 13th and P St., for our August Friends4Drinks event. We’ll be hanging out and networking on Friday, August 6 from 4 p.m. on, which means we’ll be there for happy hour! For many, this will be the first time checking out downtown Lincoln’s newest country-themed bar. We’re so excited! The bar often features live music and they have an extensive list of signature shots. You can expect a fun, lively atmosphere. This event is open to anyone who’s interested in gaining more connections in the community!

A favorite dining spot in Lincoln is Venue Restaurant & Lounge (https://www.yourvenue.net/), so we’re excited to return to Venue for our August Friends4Lunch event on Friday, August 13. Venue serves award-winning cuisine that is handmade from scratch ingredients, including the freshest farm-to-table products from Nebraska farms and exquisite seafood from all around the world. Our group will be seating in one of their private dining rooms. This event is free to attend, you only have to pay for what you order. We encourage our friends and clients to join us, and bring friends!
