Last Month Recap

After almost a year of anticipation, we were finally able to take in the new Tipsy Tina’s Taco Cantina (https://www.facebook.com/tipsytinastacocantina/) in the Haymarket! The hype around the new restaurant attracted a good turnout of friends. Everyone enjoyed selecting cantina classics off the beautiful menu. A couple of us shared dips and fresh fried chips with our margaritas. The queso…WOW! The Mango Marg also seemed to be a fan-favorite. Those who wanted to thaw off from the return of Nebraska’s cold air went for the Michelada—that has a kick to it! Most of us filled ourselves up on street tacos, a few ordered salads, and we thought it was awesome that there were a couple of breakfast options as well. It just so happened that our group visited on a Thursday, which means all tequilas are $1 off. With over 140 types of tequila, we couldn’t resist! It wouldn’t be a true Tipsy Tina’s experience without throwing a few back with salt and a lime. We’d like to thank everyone who joined us. We will absolutely be back!

Upcoming Events

Stauffer’s Cafe & Pie Shoppe (www.staufferscafe.com) on November 10, 11:30 a.m.
Take a step into grandma’s kitchen with us on Tuesday, November 10, for our next Friends4Lunch event at Stauffer’s Cafe & Pie Shoppe. Stauffer’s truly embraces that hometown charm and their menu is full of hearty favorites. The restaurant, located at 5600 S 48th St., offers the classic all-day breakfast options, burgers, sandwiches, as well as some local classics like fried chicken livers and Frito pie. They keep it interesting with daily specials and, of course, freshly made pies. In fact, we encourage our guests to think about picking up a pie to bring home for the holidays while you’re there! It’s a perfect opportunity. To view the wide selection of pies and the full menu, visit www.staufferscafe.com or call the restaurant at (402) 423-2206 with any questions about their catering or pre-ordering.

Friends4Lunch is an awesome opportunity to connect with other business and organization leaders while supporting a local establishment. There is no cost to attend aside from paying for what you choose to order.
