It is crazy to think that this month marks 30 years for Strictly Business! Where has the time gone? We are excited to celebrate 30 years and all of the fun memories that have come with our time here in Lincoln. Having started in Lincoln before expanding into the Omaha market, we have great pride in our community and the impact we’ve made.
Looking back, it is so hard to believe that it has been 30 years since the beginning of Strictly Business. We have embraced the changes that have come with time, as we now reach more readers than ever before with our eye-catching covers and strong internet presence. Our In the Issue email blast gains new subscribers all the time, as does our list of clients that take advantage of directly reaching readers with their news. What started out as a black and white news print is now a colorful magazine that accommodates approximately three times the number of local businesses. And we’re still growing! I can hardly believe it.
With constant change and growth, I am especially thankful for the great team that keeps Strictly Business running. Though it has been sad to part ways with old employees, we couldn’t be more proud of them for stepping into a new stage of their life – close to 10 past employees now run a successful business of their own! Entrepreneurship is something I highly value, so I take great pleasure in helping promote those who start local businesses.
We take great pride in promoting Lincoln, making it our mission to be a source of information for the community. By making community members aware of the current news in Lincoln, we not only rally community support, but get to show our own support as well. One great thing about Lincoln is that people are always consciously trying to support local businesses, something that hasn’t changed in our 30 years of businesses.
Watching small businesses grow and develop because of community support is one of my favorite aspects of Strictly Business. The success of local businesses is our top priority, so we can’t help but celebrate their success. Since the start of advertising with us, we have witnessed several small businesses thrive, with some even becoming large entities whose presence is known far beyond Lincoln.
We wish the best for all local businesses, helping out in any way we can. We welcome new clients, regardless of if they are new or old businesses – it’s never too late to connect with the community. We are most proud, however, of our recurring clients, many of which have been with us for the past 20 years. We want to give a special thanks to those who have been with us for over 20 years: Overhead Door, ABC Electric, West Gate Bank, Union Bank, HBAL, DLA, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Lincoln Housing Authority, Legacy Retirement, Sun Valley Lanes, T.O. Haas Tire & Auto, John Henry’s Plumbing Heating & Air, Pioneer Printing, Kenl Inn, Tracy Body Shop, First National Bank, Rays Lawn Care, James Arthur Vineyards and Krueger Development! To all of our clients, we thank you for trusting us with your advertising dollars! Thank you to Nebraska Printing Center, a local printer who has printed our magazine all 30 years! That’s 360 issues!
To our readers, thank you for helping us support local businesses for the last 30 years. We hope you will continue to support local businesses, whether you find them through Strictly Business or elsewhere, and that you share with our clients that you saw their business right here at Strictly Business. It’s our pleasure to rally the Lincoln community together to support local businesses.
