Future Luncheon – Election Results
Regardless of political philosophies or affiliations—this last month’s primary election results have set the stage for a very interesting General Election in November. Those results mean in District 1 we will have a different representative on the Board of Regents and a different Secretary of State.
LIBA is working on getting the candidates for congress (Chris Backemeyer and Mike Flood), regent (Jeremy Hosein and Brent Comstock) and secretary of state (Sarah Slattery and Scott Peterson) in the same room for a luncheon debate.
Also – thank you Tim Claire!!! Tim Claire has served the voters in District 1 on the UNL Board of Regents for almost 2 decades!

Our annual LIBA Golf Tournament is just around the corner—we are firming up details, but we are tentatively scheduled for early September. Details and online registration for teams and hole sponsorship will be announced soon.
