North 27th Street is home to one of Lincoln’s most diverse culinary corridors, lined with incredible restaurants that unite culture and community. This fall, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Visit Lincoln are excited to spotlight this culinary destination with the new “Taste 27th” digital marketing campaign. This initiative highlights 23 restaurants offering dishes from across the globe, ranging from Mexican and Guatemalan cuisine to Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Middle Eastern, Italian and more.

Beyond a culinary showcase, the Taste 27th campaign plays an important role in advancing the Vitality Lincoln Strategic Plan, which prioritizes the development of distinctive destination districts across Lincoln. By highlighting North 27th Street, Taste 27th positions the corridor as a vibrant cultural hub, encouraging repeat visits from locals and exploration by visitors seeking unique dining experiences.

Both locals and visitors can immerse themselves in the campaign through a digital passport, which provides an interactive opportunity to check in at participating restaurants. Using the same mobile check-in technology that has powered other successful Visit Lincoln passport initiatives, this tool makes it easy to explore the numerous stops along the corridor, motivating participants to visit multiple restaurants within this culinary district. This format also builds on a proven strategy for boosting community engagement, while driving customers to our local businesses.

The project is supported in part by a grant from Visit Nebraska, with additional support from Visit Lincoln, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and Maly Marketing. This collaboration underscores the community’s shared commitment to supporting local businesses, driving economic growth, celebrating cultural diversity and strengthening Lincoln’s position as a vibrant destination.

At its core, Taste 27th is about more than dining, it’s about storytelling. The campaign elevates the businesses along North 27th Street as places where culture is shared, community thrives and Lincoln’s story comes to life. This aligns with Visit Lincoln’s broader tourism strategy of showcasing the people who make the place and highlighting what makes our community unique.
