The Egg & I Offers a New Downtown Lunch and Breakfast Option
On the corner of 16th and Q Streets is downtown Lincoln’s newest breakfast and lunch restaurant, The Egg & I. The restaurant, which took the place of Blockbuster, opened on September 12th with little advertising, but General Manager Agustin Cruz says business has been excellent.
The restaurant serves seven types of eggs, omelets, frittatas, salads, sandwiches, steaks and burgers, among other things. One of the biggest draws of the The Egg & I is that if people want something that’s not on the menu, the cooks can whip it up on the spot.
The new restaurant offers a meeting room with a flat screen TV that’s available for both guests and businesses with parties of 15 or more. Reservations should be made at least a week in advance so that the restaurant can staff accordingly. 402-476-3444
The Egg & I is open Monday – Friday from 6:00 am – 2:00 pm, and Saturday – Sunday from 7:00 am – 2:30 pm.
