“I had utilized NEworks services in the past with great results so I was aware the service was available. This time around I used NEworks to place a job posting, because we are in the final stages of opening our new restaurant concept and have begun to put our team together.  Finding a chef was that last key component in filling our immediate needs, and we had been trying to handle this internally through our ownership team with little success. It got down to crunch time and became very critical to getting meals prepped and tested. Thankfully, NEworks allowed us to get this last piece to the puzzle found!

I have to admit that when I initially opened the site and started the process I was a little apprehensive. As many business owners can relate, I just wanted this to be done! I quickly realized that the page flowed well, was efficient to navigate, and getting the information posted was not nearly as tedious as I had originally thought it might be. The features are very user-friendly and we also benefitted from the help and guidance of the NEworks staff, which made what could have been a daunting task very easy and successful in a short amount of time.

I was particularly impressed that along with general details about what the position would entail, we were able to include more specific information about our expectations and growth potential to attract qualified candidates. With EatFitGo being a startup we were venturing into a little bit of the unknown. We wanted to be very transparent in that this would be a demanding position in the beginning, but with that comes an amazing opportunity to grow with a company from the ‘grassroots’ phase.

We also set up the Virtual Recruiter tool, which worked amazingly well. I was notified via email whenever a candidate had posted a resume. This was a great tool for us. As important as filling this position was, there were so many day-to-day activities that always seemed to get in the way. Being notified made life so much easier and assured that we followed up with new candidates.

Furthermore, in determining who to interview, we absolutely loved the skills matched percentage function. We received a lot of applicants for this position, so it allowed us to filter out some of the applicants and then use the supplied resumes to further narrow down the candidates that we wanted to interview. It worked remarkably well!

As for the candidates we were able to find through the site, this was equally impressive, especially with the ability to utilize the ‘Recruit MCC’ search to find qualified individuals from local colleges. We couldn’t be more pleased with the chef who has joined our team. Coming to us with previous experience at Ritz Carlton hotels, we are very fortunate to have landed this caliber of talent.

Above all, I can’t stress enough how absolutely amazing the staff was to work with! I was called immediately after creating the registration and making the job posting. The gentleman that was helping me took the time to get to know me, EatFitGo, and what we were looking for. He offered up a wealth of knowledge and had some great suggestions. He went as far as to actually help edit our posting based on information he had learned after our conversation. There was continual follow up until we filled the position. It was a great experience!

I would truly like to thank the Nebraska Department of Labor staff for their follow-up, input, and support. It made the experience very pleasant and, most importantly, successful!” – Mark Fredrickson, co-owner of EatFitGo in Omaha, NE
