Empire Netting & Fence (www.empire-fence.com) has grown to be a strong service provider in the netting industry as well as fencing for residential, commercial, and industrial both locally and nationally. Empire recently landed their first-ever projects in Hawaii and Puerto Rico, and there are new projects that emerge each day across the country. In response to the amazing success of the company, Empire’s team has increased to 75 members from 2009 to present day.

The exponential growth of Empire has provided the means for horizontal growth, adding layers of services provided through different divisions. These divisions include:

ESC Division

Empire Supply Company added sandblasting and painting to the fabrication, along with welding services. ESC moved to Empire’s north property when purchased in 2021 from Wittrock Sandblasting & Painting. There will be a new building added this summer to keep up with the rapid growth, and 5-7 welders added to the team. Colleen Sorben and Dustin Bogle are the general managers of the ESC Division.

USS Division

Unlimited Sports Supply is led by Ron Dubas. It is the retail arm of Empire for sports field materials that are directly fabricated from ESC along with a few items from USS partners. Most are installed by local fence contractors or built by Empire Fence. These include: batter’s eye, backstops, dugouts, foul poles, padding, and field maintenance.

mySalesman Division

This software is built by Beehive Industries in Lincoln for the fence industry and used by over 500 fence contractors nationally and internationally. It will soon cross the border to other industries, such as fence and deck staining, deck building, and pressure washing. Rachel Kroese is the general manager of the mySalesman Division and Kelsea Pavel recently joined the team.

EAC Division

Empire Access Controls is led by Shawn Owsley. It’s a newer division that provides access controls such as gate operators and overhead doors.

The Wave Division

Waverly Athletics is an indoor sports complex that brings a state-of-the-art sports facility to the community of Waverly. It is equipped with netting systems provided by the design-build of Empire Fence for the purpose of building and inspiring athletes to reach their full potential—from little league to the college level and beyond. The Wave has procured the best-of-the-best in personal training from certified strength and conditioning specialists along with the top names in baseball and softball coaching. Luke Shepard is the general manager of The Wave.

Business culture has cultivated the growth, both vertically and horizontally, within Empire Netting & Fence. Prosperity and expansion are a result of good leaders painting a clear picture and empowering the team to use their strengths and gifts to lead their division to be a national brand. As each of the divisions are focused on growth, new processes and procedures will continue to be put into place to provide the best service for clients and to keep the Empire team equipped to thrive.
