Another achievement that reflects the heart and work ethics of our team is being the only plumbing, heating, and air conditioning contractor to win the Better Business Integrity Award. These two awards send a message that hard work and honesty are still high on the list of Americans.

These awards are possible because of our dedicated effort to hire the right person for each position. Hiring well starts with personality surveys to help us know applicants better and also to manage our team after they are hired. Successful careers start with a great attitude and require responsible management.

We are one of the few plumbing, heating, and air conditioning companies that perform background checks that also include drug, alcohol, and criminal history checks. We believe this is important to protect our customers.

I am especially proud the John Henrys team has made a special effort to provide service seven days a week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM without overtime plus having 24 hour emergency service available. In some cases this took personal sacrifices but our team recognized we have an important obligation to improve the health and safety of our community. We also strive to meet the very important personal needs of our team’s families while they serve others.

Although we have many things to be proud of as a company, I believe the second you think you have made it in business you really have not. Our team is proud of who they have become, but also understand the need to get better and become even more efficient. Technology helped John Henrys do that last year by cutting labor costs through GPS systems in our vehicles and adding laptops in the field.

The GPS systems reduced the amount of miles driven through more efficient dispatching. We were able to visibly see our total miles driven each day and that helped us set goals. The laptops in the field helped in billing, inventory control, and many other ways. That all translates into future savings for customers.

John Henrys is involved in 16 organizations in our community. We believe in giving back where we can. It’s important to do the right thing. That even includes selling the best and most efficient products. That’s why we chose to become Lennox and Trane equipment dealers. You deserve quality.
