Fresh Start 13th Annual Project Funway

Fresh Start is excited to announce their 13th annual Project Funway will be held November 17 at The Cornhusker Marriott Hotel in downtown Lincoln. This popular event features a fashion design competition and runway show where UNL students and local designers compete by creating one of a kind, original outfits out of recycled clothing. Winners are selected by a panel of judges as well as event guests. Each year, guests are amazed by the creativity and skill of the designers. The evening also includes a silent auction and hors d’oeuvres. All proceeds will benefit Fresh Start, a nonprofit goal-oriented housing program for women experiencing homelessness offering skill development and supportive services. Project Funway raises
over $40,000 annually and has an average attendance of over 200 community members and Fresh Start supporters.

Interested in entering the design competition? Entries are due by September 30. Designs must be original and must be created out of cast off or thrifted clothing. Advance tickets for Project Funway are $60 each and VIP tickets are $85. Don’t wait to get your tickets! VIP tickets often sell out and the price increases at the door.
