A Well Being (www.awellbeingpt.org) is partnering with Madonna ProActive to host a two-part Fall Prevention Series designed to help community members better understand, assess, and reduce their risk of falls. The sessions will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, and Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m., and are free and open to the public.
The workshop series will feature lectures by Dr. Brad Hadley, Dr. Casey of A Well Being, and personal trainer Rachelle Hadley.
Topics will include How Our Vision System Works and How It Can Contribute to Falls (week 1), as well as Gait Speed: The 6th Vital Sign and Balance Exercises (week 2). Each session combines lecture-style education with physical assessment and activity, offering participants both knowledge and hands-on strategies for prevention.
The mission of A Well Being is to provide both preventative screenings and personalized physical therapy care. Much like annual checkups with other medical professionals, A Well Being emphasizes the importance of mobility check-ins to identify risks early, maintain independence, and prevent injuries before they occur. Dr. Casey specializes in musculoskeletal conditions, balance and fall prevention, pain management, and gait training, with a focus on adults in midlife and beyond.
A Well Being is a concierge mobile physical therapy and wellness service dedicated to keeping individuals strong, mobile, and independent as they age. For more information, visit (www.awellbeingpt.org)
