American Cancer Society (makingstrideswalk.org/lincolnne) is preparing for their 2022 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Lincoln event this month on Sunday, October 16. The community celebration will begin at 11 a.m. and the walk will begin at 1 p.m. The Making Strides movement raises lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of the journey. Food trucks will be open throughout the community celebration, this year they will have The Chocolate Season, The Waffle Man, Soulful Cocina, Motor Foods, Sky Mart, and Sweet Treats.

There are many ways to contribute to this cause, even if you are not able to walk at the event. American Cancer Society hopes to reach their goal of raising $100,000 by the time of the event. So far they have raised over $61,000 and you can help them get to the finish line by donating what you can on their website. They are also looking for volunteers to join the 2022 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer planning committee. Your help will truly make a difference!
