The American Heart Association (heart.org) is pleased to announce Melissa Marvin and Karen Linder as the two powerhouses leading the Go Red for Women charge. Go Red for Women, nationally sponsored by CVS Health and locally sponsored by Methodist, is the American Heart Association’s signature women’s initiative to end heart disease and stroke in women. Go Red for Women is working in communities around the world to help women understand that cardiovascular disease is their greatest health threat and that they should take action to lower their risk.

Marvin serves as senior vice president, chief experience officer for Banyan Medical Systems. Over her lifetime, she has built a long resume of leadership service with more than 30 nonprofit and educational organizations ranging in variety of human service and arts groups in the metro area and across Nebraska. She will chair the Go Red for Women Expo on Tuesday, October 18.

Linder serves as executive chairwoman at Tethon 3D and a partner of Linseed Capital, LLC, and she will be bringing her passion to Circle of Red. The Circle is a society of passionate individuals who are in the fight against heart disease and stroke in women to win.

The American Heart Association is a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. To learn more about Go Red for Women, please contact Lindsey Vande Hoef at Lindsey.VandeHoef@heart.org or visit heart.org.
