On Sunday, October 9 Friendship Home (www.friendshiphome.org) invites the local community to join them in celebrating the 20th Annual Safe Quarters event. This is Friendship Home’s largest fundraising event each year, and it is critical to the work that they do to provide safety and healing to families fleeing a violent home.
Teams of volunteers are needed to walk Lincoln’s neighborhoods and knock on doors to raise awareness and collect financial contributions to support victims of domestic violence. Safe Quarters is a great activity for troops, families, youth groups, or any group wanting to help someone in need. Will you be a hero and help provide safe quarters to someone in crisis?
