2019 Tour de Brew LNK Benefitting CASA for Lancaster County
CASA for Lancaster County (www.casa4lancaster.org) has been announced as this month’s charity for Tour de Brew LNK on July 18.
This charitable fundraiser is a fun, laid back bike ride featuring craft beer, community, and, of course, prizes. Since the first season in 2014, Tour de Brew LNK riders have raised over $40,000 for local nonprofits. The 2019 season packs a punch with the addition of a food truck rally and live music at The LOT.
In order to participate, riders must register for $5 at Moran’s Liquor Works, 3400 A St., between 4:30 and 6 p.m. on the day of the event. Riders then bike to Cycle Works, 720 N 27th St., for refreshments offered until 6:45 p.m. Next stop is The LOT located at Empyrean Brewing Company’s warehouse on the corner of 8th and L St. Riders will be greeted with food trucks, craft beer, yard games, live music, and friends, both old and new. This is also where riders will collect their last raffle ticket for three chances to win great prizes. Drawing starts at 9 p.m. and beer flows until 10 p.m. Live music will also be going on from 7 to 9 p.m. To learn more about the event or for sponsorship information, feel free to visit The LOTS’s website at www.moransliquor.com/thelot.html or contact Eric Bahm at (402) 310-7364 / office@moransliquor.com.
CASA for Lancaster County recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of abused, neglected, truant, and ungovernable children in juvenile court. Statewide, CASA programs have served Nebraska children for 31 years, and while the number of volunteers grows each year, there are still around 2,000 children without advocates.
