Great news, A Well Being (awellbeingpt.org) is now offering in-person all-levels yoga classes at Yoga Together Lincoln. Dr. Casey specializes in adaptive techniques. Class can be customized with chair variations, intensity modifications for health conditions and positional revisions to optimize each participant’s comfort.

Yoga is one of the few evidence-based interventions proven to decrease risk of falls. Unfortunately, the media has portrayed yoga in a narrow light. Breath work, body movement and meditation are integral components of injury prevention and wellness and with proper guidance, everyone can do it. Dr. Casey notes her eldest participant was 107 years old and her youngest participant was barely crawling.

Dr. Casey also teaches yoga through A Well Being (in-person and virtual, Thursday mornings at 9 a.m.), the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (virtual), the Lincoln YMCA (in person Thursdays at 6 p.m.), and Madonna ProActive (in person intermittent Saturdays at 9 and 10:30 a.m.).
