AGC Announces 2015 Build Nebraska Awards Recipients

The AGC-Nebraska Building Chapter (agcne.org) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2015 Build Nebraska Awards. This program is designed to recognize outstanding projects built by member firms. Projects were evaluated based on innovation in methods and materials, project management, client services, challenge of a difficult job and sensitive treatment of the environment and surroundings. On November 12, the top Projects of the Year and Honorable Mention Projects were announced in five categories:

New Construction Projects – Under $5 Million. Project of the Year: 1891 Officers’ Quarters, Fort Robinson State Park, Crawford; Sampson Construction Co., Inc. Honorable Mention Project: Lincoln Children’s Zoo, Tortoise Trek; Cheever Construction Company.

New Construction Projects – $5-$15 Million. Project of the Year: The Championship Center, Creighton University, Omaha; Kiewit Building Group Inc.  Honorable Mention Project: Greenhouse Innovation Center, Lincoln; Sampson Construction Co., Inc.

New Construction Projects – Over $15 Million. Project of the Year: Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory, Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha; Kiewit Building Group Inc. Honorable Mention Project: Th!nk Whole Person Healthcare Facility, Omaha; Hausmann Construction.

Building Renovation – Any Dollar Amount. Project of the Year: Nebraska Innovation Campus, 4H Building, Lincoln; Hausmann Construction. Honorable Mention Project: Hotel Flatiron, Omaha; Dicon Corporation.

Specialty Contractors. Project of the Year: Lauritzen Gardens Conservatory, Omaha; Jeff MacTaggart Masonry, LLC. Honorable Mention Project: Sidney Regional Medical Center Replacement Facility; MMC Contractors.
