American Airlines will begin new nonstop service from Lincoln Airport (LNK) to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) this month, marking a major expansion of air service for the Lincoln community.

The new routes include twice-daily flights to Dallas-Fort Worth and daily service to Chicago, providing travelers with seamless access to two of the nation’s largest hub airports and hundreds of global connections.

“This is a significant milestone for Lincoln and our region,” said Rachel Barth, Director of Air Service & Marketing. “Enhanced connectivity through American Airlines opens the door to expanded business opportunities, strengthens economic development, and gives travelers more convenient options right from their hometown airport.”

The added service is expected to generate meaningful economic impact by supporting local businesses, attracting visitors, and improving access for corporate travel. With stronger connectivity to major hubs, Lincoln-area passengers can more easily reach destinations across the country and around the world.

To support the launch, Lincoln Airport has introduced new online tools to make travel planning even easier. Passengers can explore routes, compare options, and book flights directly through the airport’s website at lincolnairport.com, including the new “Fly My Airport” and cost comparison features designed to help travelers choose LNK with confidence.
