The Legacy Retirement Communities and KFOR are pleased to announce the newest recipients of the Jerry Joyce Living Legacy Award –  Anne Woita and Ray Bossung.  Each receives $2500 to distribute to the non-profits of their choice.

Anne Woita has elected to give her award to the Hildegard Center for the Arts, and Ray will divide his award between the Food Bank of Lincoln, Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach, Tabitha Meals on Wheels, and Jacob’s Well.  A special recognition award of $500 was also given to Gailen Young for the outreach work he continues to do with fellow veterans in need. He is passing that along to the Seabees Veterans Fund and to Mad Dads.

A luncheon to honor our recipients was held on Tuesday, October 14th at Legacy Estates. The Jerry Joyce Living Legacy Awards have been given since 2011, in memory of Jerry Joyce, founder of the Legacy Retirement Communities – to honor unsung heroes in our community who exhibit the same kind of quiet, giving spirit that Jerry had shown to others in his life.
