After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Better Business Bureau (BBB, bbb.org) is pleased to announce their prestigious Torch Awards for Ethics luncheon will be back on Wednesday, September 21. The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Embassy Suites in La Vista. This will be the 25th anniversary of the marquee event.

The BBB Torch Awards for Ethics, formerly known as The BBB Integrity Awards, honors businesses and charities located in metro Omaha and southwest Iowa. The event’s keynote speaker is John Carreyrou, a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter and the New York Times bestselling author of Bad Blood: Secrets and Lies in a Silicon Valley Startup. His reporting on Elizabeth Holmes and her company, Theranos, was widely publicized.

“We are thrilled to showcase the organizations that best exemplify the highest standards of ethics,” said BBB president and CEO Jim Hegarty. “This will be our 25th year highlighting those that make such positive contributions in our communities. The Torch Awards for Ethics embodies BBB’s mission of advancing marketplace trust. We can’t wait to celebrate with all the winners of these important awards.”
