Schwisow Construction recently hosted its first annual blood drive in memory of Marla K. Wilcox, bringing team members, community partners, and first time donors together for a meaningful day of giving back. Held onsite at Schwisow Construction’s office, the event welcomed 29 donors throughout the day, with more than half participating as first-time donors.
As part of Schwisow Construction’s Building Good campaign, the event highlighted the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting meaningful causes and creating opportunities for employees and the community to give back together.
In addition to donating blood, attendees enjoyed locally catered food and refreshments while spending time honoring Marla’s memory and the lasting impact she had on those around her. The event served as both a celebration of community and an opportunity to help support patients and families in need.
“We were incredibly encouraged by the turnout and especially inspired to see so many first-time donors step forward,” said Casey Eiten, Marketing and Community Engagement Manager. “This event was a meaningful way to honor Marla Wilcox and her family, while helping give back to others in our community.”
Schwisow Construction plans to continue the blood drive annually as part of its Building Good campaign, carrying forward Marla’s memory through service, generosity, and community involvement.
