That’s why they started Building Good.
“Our effort is to support the people and places that make Lincoln and Nebraska our home,” said Casey Eiten, Marketing and Community Engagement Manager of Schwisow
Construction. “A platform that covers the volunteer hours our team puts in, the nonprofi ts we partner with, the causes our employees care about, and the annual blood drive we’ve come to look forward to. None of them are required. It’s just who we want to be.”
They know a construction company can’t solve these challenges on its own. But they can show up consistently, on and off the jobsite and that adds up over time.
“Building Good is how we recognize that, and how we make sure giving back stays part of our mission, not just something we say,” said Eiten. “Nebraska has changed a lot since we opened our doors in 1985, and it’ll keep changing.”
But they would like to have a hand in making sure that growth is good for the people in the communities they serve, not just the buildings that they put up. That’s the whole idea behind Building Good.
