Cattle National Bank’s Arnold Elementary Branch Now Open
The Arnold Elementary branch of The Cattle National Bank & Trust Co. (www.cattlebank.com) officially opened Oct. 4th and began accepting deposits from Arnold Elementary students. To commemorate the grand opening of the branch the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce conducted an official ribbon cutting on September 26th.
The Cattle National Bank, along with Arnold Elementary leaders and Tammie Fischer from the University of Nebraska Center of Economic Education, have worked diligently over the last year to plan and organize this “Student Branch.” Staffed by student tellers, the branch will be accepting deposits from students once a week.
At the official ribbon cutting Ryne Seaman, President of Cattle National Bank, stated, “We hope that everyone in attendance today is as excited as we are about this new branch and the learning opportunities that it will provide to the students at Arnold Elementary.” To help the students get started Cattle National Bank will match their first deposit up to $5. Incentives will also be provided as the students reach various savings goals. The intention of this program is to provide the students with opportunities to not only learn about savings and how financial institutions operate, but to also become savers themselves.
