Destination Lincoln: Tourism Numbers Reach All-Time High for Lancaster County

County Lodging Tax collections for the month of July 2016 reached an all-time high of $408,034.29, breaking the previous best by more than 16%. Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Jeff Maul attributes the growth to a focused effort by the City and County to expand area attractions and create a national awareness of Lincoln as a destination for conventions, sporting events and leisure travel.

Some of the more notable events in July of 2016 include: USA Roller Sports Indoor National Championships, World Tenpin Bowling Youth Championships, Cornhusker State Games, HobbyTown USA Annual Convention, Jehovah’s Witnesses District Convention.
