The Downtown Lincoln Association (DLA) (downtownlincoln.org) is launching Downtown Champions, a new community for anyone who lives, works or plays in downtown Lincoln.

The program offers insider access to behind-the-scenes tours, pop-up activities, networking opportunities and a front-row seat to everything happening downtown.

Downtown Champions is open to everyone including residents, employees and anyone with a passion for downtown.. Members can expect exclusive events, a monthly newsletter, leadership and volunteer opportunities and yes, a free t-shirt.

“Downtown Champions is about building that insider crew, the people who don’t just pass through downtown but who help shape what it becomes,” said Randy Hawthorne, vice president of community engagement.

Downtown Champions will kick off May 14, 2026

About Downtown Lincoln Association

Founded in 1967, the Downtown Lincoln Association was originally established as a merchants’ association by downtown retailers who recognized the need for an organization to serve downtown’s unique needs. DLA has since evolved to a multi-faceted organization supporting a wide range of programs and activities including maintenance, economic development and advocacy. DLA is also the umbrella for the Downtown Neighborhood Association
