Empire Netting and Fence to Host Installation, Gate Automation, and Gate Welding School

Local fence company Empire Netting and Fence (www.empire-fence.com) announced they are hosting a Fence Installation, Gate Automation Design, and Gate Welding School June 9-11 at 14650 Woodstock Blvd. in Waverly. Special guest speakers and certified instructors will teach standards and best-practice guidelines developed by the American Fence Association (AFA). Tool and machinery demonstrations by local vendors will be available to the participants, as well on-site certification testing by the Accreditation & Certifi cation Institute (ACI). The schooling will combine business building, education, classroom and field training, and certification testing.

Brought to you by the AFA Midwest Chapter and corporate sponsors, this education aims to promote the highest levels of professionalism and ethics in the industry by strengthening local and surrounding-area fence companies. Classroom training through the AFA On the Road Fence Installation Training will cover two fence disciplines: chain link and vinyl. Subjects include personal safety; equipment and tools; truck/trailer safety and loading; introduction to blueprint reading; site reading and layout; introduction to fence welding; post-hole digging; concrete mixing; post setting; and resources and references.
