First Day Vinyl is a new record store opening on December 1 at 7301 S 27th St., STE 120. It is owned and operated by Travis Mannschreck, who started collecting music at an early age and spent the 2000’s managing a Blockbuster Video in south Lincoln. In addition to selling new and used vinyl, CDs, and cassettes, First Day Vinyl will offer new turntables, posters, books, and other music-related gifts.

“I had great experiences growing up buying music from Lincoln record stores like Homer’s and Twisters, and I especially loved attending midnight release events,” Mannschreck said. “First Day Vinyl will be a place where both new and more established collectors can come together and share their love of all types of music.”

First Day Vinyl is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Learn more about First Day Vinyl and Travis on Instagram (@firstdayvinyl / @tmannne) and at firstdayvinyl.com.
