First National Bank of Omaha Plans New Location in Lincoln’s Haymarket

On October 8, First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO www.fnbo.com) Executive Vice President, Individual Customer Segment, Sean Baker announced the company’s plans to build a new location at 601 R St., in the Canopy Lofts building in Lincoln’s West Haymarket District.

“We’re committed to the Lincoln community in all areas of our business and saw this as a great opportunity to locate a combined banking and insurance-services center in a key area of development for the city,” Baker said.

Baker said FNBO currently has three retail branches and one drive-thru-only location in the Lincoln area. The bank operates a total of 96 retail branch locations across its seven-state service area, and the new location is slated to open in early 2021. The FNBO space on the first floor will include a retail branch, along with offices for its commercial banking, mortgage, and wealth divisions, as well as its insurance affiliate, Harry A Koch. The new branch will also include a remote drive-through teller, accessible from the adjacent alley. All told, FNBO will occupy about 7,000 square feet of the leased space at Canopy Lofts.

FNBO Executive Vice President, Business Customer Segment David Cota said FNBO is “dedicated to continuing to build our commercial-banking presence in Lincoln, as well, and we believe locating in the Haymarket area will certainly energize that effort.”
