FNBO (fnbo.com) is among the first organizations to earn the Lincoln Family-Friendly Workplace Certification.

The certification is part of a new joint initiative from Lincoln Littles and the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development (LPED). The program recognizes employers that support working families with young children, prioritize family well-being and help make Lincoln a great place to live, work and play.

Thirteen local organizations, including FNBO, are among the first group to earn the certification, which honors employers that demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting working families.

The certification process helps businesses attract and retain a strong, inclusive local workforce through the implementation of family-friendly workplace policies. To qualify, employers must meet at least seven of 10 criteria, including paid parental leave, flexible scheduling or remote and hybrid work options, and access to caregiver support resources.

Supporting working families is increasingly important in Lincoln, where 78% of children under age 6 have parents participating in the workforce, according to the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development.

According to Lincoln Littles, FNBO demonstrates a strong commitment to supporting working families, fostering an inclusive workplace culture, and prioritizing the well-being of employees and their children.

“This certification reflects how important employees and their families are to FNBO,” said Betsy Vrba, commercial payments advisor in Lincoln.

“Supporting working families helps us create a workplace where employees can succeed and strengthens the community we serve.”
