Geary Engineering Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Geary Engineering (gearyengineering.net) is proud to be celebrating 25 years in business!

An open house at their office, located at 7800 O Street, Suite 100, will take place in honor of this milestone after the first of the year. Further details will be announced soon, and everyone is invited to join!

After graduating from the University of Nebraska in 1980 and working for two other engineering firms, Ron and his wife Ann started Geary Engineering, Inc. in November of 1991. Ann handles all the business-related issues, leaving Ron to concentrate his efforts on the engineering. Geary Engineering provides the design of residential and commercial building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical power, lighting, fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems.

Ron graduated as an electrical engineer and has gained experience in mechanical and fire protection engineering to complement his degree. He is a licensed professional engineer in three disciplines: electrical, mechanical and fire protection. When the business was started, Ron saw the need for personalized engineering services. Many times, engineers perform their design in the background with little or no contact with the owners. Ron prefers a hands-on approach, meeting directly with the clients and working closely with them in order to deliver optimal results.

Ron is active in the engineering community and is a past board member for the Lincoln Children’s Zoo, current member of the HVAC Board of Examiners for the City of Lincoln, and has served on the Mayor’s Code Review Committee.

Geary Engineering is licensed to do business in 23 states and has active projects from Florida to New York to Nevada. Internationally, Geary Engineering recently developed an alliance with a Chinese company to bring innovative geothermal applications to the United States. There are four installations of the unique technology in Nebraska, with several more on the planning board.
