Hampton Enterprises’ GlynOaks Plaza Continues to Grow

GlynOaks Plaza, a property of Hampton Enterprises – Properties & Construction (www.hampton1.com), saw significant growth in 2018 with the addition of four new businesses and the expansion of a fifth—and there is even room for more. This land, located about a half mile north of 84th and Old Cheney Rd., was purchased in the 1980s by Hampton Founder Joe Hampton and used as a tree farm for more than a decade as Lincoln expanded toward the southeast. GlynOaks’ first tenant was Frontier Bank, followed by NMPP Energy. Additional businesses currently located in GlynOaks Plaza are Bubbles & Blocks Child Development, Rock ‘n’ Joe Coffee Bar, Fly Fitness, Honest Abe’s, and Sebastian’s Table. There is opportunity for additional retail and office buildings and a residential component to the development. Also, the tenants and neighborhood will soon benefit from a traffic light located at 84th Street and Glynoaks Drive, which will make accessibility easier whether traveling south or north on 84th Street. The development also features a major bike/walking trail and ponds with a neighborhood park directly adjacent to the west of the plaza.

“The goal is to have a variety of tenants at GlynOaks to further create community and progress for businesses,” said Michelle Keogh, president of Properties for Hampton Enterprises.

Fly Fitness and Rock ’n’ Joe Coffee Bar both occupy 5025 Lindberg St., while Sebastian’s Table and Honest Abe’s Burgers and Freedom share 8340 Glynoaks Dr. Rock ’n’ Joe’s new site is the first appearance of the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based franchise in Nebraska, and Honest Abe’s latest expansion is its fourth Lincoln iteration. Fly Fitness expanded from its downtown location, and Sebastian’s Table is a reincarnation of the Spanish tapas-style restaurant that made its debut in downtown Lincoln a few years ago. Bubbles & Blocks Child Development Center at 4930 Lindberg St. also has finished a renovation and expansion of its popular service.

“GlynOaks has a modern, neighborhood feel with great visibility, and high traffic counts in a growing part of the city,” said Keogh, who would love to take prospective tenants on a tour of GlynOaks and grab a cup of coffee at Rock ‘n’ Joe.
