Home Builders Association of Lincoln Foundation Gives Back to 3 Local Charities

The Home Builders Association of Lincoln (HBAL, hbal.org) and the Lincoln Home Builders Care Foundation recently donated a total of $6,000 to three local charities: Habitat for Humanity, Friendship Home’s Safe Quarters, and Foster Care Closet. In addition to the financial contributions, HBAL members donated building materials to Lincoln East High School’s Industrial Technology program.

  • Habitat for Humanity ReStore received $2,500. All proceeds from ReStore support the mission of building affordable homes in Lancaster County.
  • Friendship Home’s Safe Quarters campaign raises money for victims of domestic violence and their children seeking refuge. The $2,500 donated by the Foundation will go towards their goal of $45,000.
  • The Foster Care Closet will be able to purchase 20 new car seats thanks to the $1,000 raised at the Young Building Professionals’ “Flamingle & Jingle” Hard Hat Happy Hour.
  • Lincoln East High School received various building materials, and Jim and Vicki Christo and Jerry and Linda Boyce also donated miscellaneous tools and building supplies.
