Through funding from the U.S. Department of Labor, Nebraska’s Job Driven project creates reemployment services and work-based trainings for dislocated workers, the long-term unemployed, and veterans returning from service. This industry-driven project connects and prepares participants for employment opportunities in manufacturing and transportation, distribution, and logistics (TDL) industries.

The Job Driven program serves both employers and job seekers. Employer services include on-the-job training reimbursement, candidate searches, employee preparation, and job placement assistance. Eligible employers must be from the private or private non-profit sector, and must either be in the Manufacturing or TDL industries or have available full-time, permanent positions that qualify as Manufacturing or TDL occupations, regardless of the employer’s industry.

Job seeker services include on-the-job training, job coaching, career counseling, and job placement assistance. Eligible individuals for the Job Driven program must be dislocated workers, long-term unemployed individuals, or recently separated veterans (in the last 3 years).
