Leadership Harbor Youth Leadership Event Headlines 2 Awe-Inspiring Young Speakers
Leadership Harbor (leadershipharbor.com/gyi) is excited to announce that their April 10 FREE “Go. Change Your World.” Youth Leadership Event for middle- and high-school youth will feature not only three John Maxwell speakers but also two awe-inspiring young speakers. Presenting “The Value of Knowing your Why, so you can Change Your World” will be Dax Howland, an 11-year-old World Champion martial artist and spokeskid for the Be The Voice® Anti-Bullying program. Dax knows his “Why,” actively pursues it each day through his words and actions, and portrays a passion for investing in others that is refreshing and encouraging.
Also speaking during the two-hour virtual event will be Shewly Akter, presenting “Pursuing Your Goals to Change Your World.” Shewly began her life in the slums of Shantytown in Dhaka, Bangladesh. At age 11, when she was supposed to be getting married to an older man, she got her education at a special school in Bangladesh and currently attends a university in Portugal, Spain—all toward fulfilling her dream to become the Prime Minister of Bangladesh in 2034.
The virtual Youth Leadership Event runs from 9 to 11 a.m. on April 10. Also on the agenda are Leadership Harbor coaches, trainers, and John Maxwell speakers Chris Hansen, and Brian and Kris Peterson. Chris will present “You are World Changers. You are History Makers;” Brian will address “How to Talk and Make More Friends,” and Brian and Kris jointly will present “Change Your Family,” a session for parents.
