The Lincoln Human Resource Management Association (LHRMA) has announced their August meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 13th at the Firefighter’s Hall in Lincoln, NE.
The key note and luncheon will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., and will feature presentations by attorneys Mark Fahleson and Tara Paulson of Rembolt Ludtke LLP. The key note is titled “The Fine Art of Lawmaking: A State and Federal Legislative Update”. A workshop will follow from 1:15 – 3:30, discussing “How Bad Is It? A State and Federal Employment and Labor Law Update.” The presentations will provide the audience the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to new developments in employment and labor law throughout the country, including recent decisions by the U.S. Supreme Court and Nebraska Supreme Court.
In addition, all members of the community are invited to attend this event, which will be an informative HR law update. Registration can be completed online at lincolnhr.org, with a deadline of August 9th.
LHRMA provides Human Resource Management professionals the opportunity to interchange ideas, experiences, and practices while promoting professional ethics and acquaintanceship. The organization is comprised of 400 HR professionals from the greater Lincoln area and welcomes new members.
