The Lincoln Stars (lincolnstars.com) invite fans and community members to stand together in the fight against cancer during Hockey Fights Cancer Night, presented in conjunction with the April Sampson Cancer Center, on Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Ice Box. This impactful evening of hockey is dedicated to raising awareness, honoring cancer survivors, remembering loved ones, and recognizing the healthcare professionals and community members who work tirelessly to provide care and hope. Doors open at 5 p.m., with puck drop at 6:05 p.m.
Hockey Fights Cancer Night is also a special jersey night, as the Lincoln Stars will wear themed jerseys during the game. The jerseys will be auctioned off following the game, with proceeds supporting local cancer initiatives.
The event is held in partnership with the April Sampson Cancer Center, a new, comprehensive community cancer center in Lincoln, located at 4101 Tiger Lily Road. The April Sampson Cancer Center brings together nearly every element of cancer care and treatment under one roof, offering advanced technology in a healing, comfortable environment. Its mission reflects not only excellence in treatment but also compassion, innovation, and patient-centered care.
