The Midwest International Trade Association (MITA) (mitaonline.org) is excited to host an exclusive tour of Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., USA in Lincoln on Thursday, September 18, 2025. This unique event offers MITA members and guests a behind-the-scenes look at one of Lincoln’s largest employers and a cornerstone of advanced manufacturing in Nebraska.
The Kawasaki Lincoln campus, spanning over 2.3 million square feet on 332 acres, has been a hub of innovation since opening in 1974. Originally manufacturing motorcycles as the first foreign motorcycle producer in the United States, Kawasaki has since expanded its operations to include ATVs, utility vehicles, recreational vehicles, railcars and aerospace components. The facility now houses Kawasaki Consumer Products, Kawasaki Rail Car Lincoln, Inc. and Kawasaki Railcar’s Aerospace Division, employing over 2,000 full-time staff and 700 contract employees.
The tour will begin with check-in at 2:45 p.m., followed by a 3:00–5:00 p.m. presentation and facility tour. Participants will then have the opportunity to continue networking at a happy hour at Zipline Tap & Grill, located at 575 Fallbrook Boulevard in Lincoln.
MITA extends special thanks to Jeff Kimble at Kawasaki for organizing this exceptional opportunity and to all members and guests eager to participate.
Registration fees vary by membership level, with Platinum, Gold and Silver members receiving complimentary or discounted spots, while non-members, students and retirees can join for a nominal fee.
