Mt. Crescent Ski Area is pleased to announce that they officially opened for the 2013/2014 season on December 14. Located at 17026 Snowhill Lane in Honey Creek, which is located in the Loess Hills of western Iowa, Mt. Crescent Ski Area is just 15 miles northeast of Omaha. With a ski season that runs from early December well into March, they provide Midwest skiers with a variety of slopes to both intrigue new skiers and to challenge experienced ones. Mt. Crescent offers group, semi-private and private lessons. This year they introduced the “Station Rotation” method of teaching to teach the 1, 2, 3 basics of skiing or snowboarding. They are lighted for night skiing so guests are encouraged to come after work, school or dinner to have some fun and even more appealing, rates are discounted for night skiing.
A newly remodeled two-story day lodge complete with year round sundeck is home to the Mountain Cafe & Bar. Here you can enjoy hearty winter fare complemented by your favorite beverage or relax by the outside fire pit and roast marshmallows until your next run. Mt.
