NAWIC Member of the Year Announced, Local Chapter Recognized for Marketing Video

Karli Meisinger, construction manager for Eyman Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning, received the ‘Member of the Year’ award from the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC; www.nawicomaha.com) Midwest Region. The Member of the Year award recognizes outstanding efforts of a NAWIC member who has been actively involved throughout the current NAWIC year. Meisinger has been involved with NAWIC since 2010 and has served on the Board at the local level in several capacities, including president for two terms, 2016–2018. Karli is active on local committees and currently co-chairs the Professional Development and Education Committee. She is also serving regionally as Midwest Region Representative membership chair for 2018–2020.

The NAWIC Greater Omaha Chapter #116 PR/Marketing Committee was also recognized for its entry in a nationwide video contest. The award for the Midwest Region #NAWIC PowerPlay video was presented in Chicago at the NAWIC Midwest Region Spring Forum on April 26–27. The #NAWIC PowerPlay Video Marketing Contest was held to give NAWIC chapters the chance to show how NAWIC empowers them, and then to use the video as a membership and marketing tool. The Greater Omaha Chapter #116 was selected for their creativity and design, and their video was showcased at the Spring Forum and on the NAWIC Greater Omaha #116 website (www.nawicomaha.com).
