Nebraska Bankers Association Hosts IRA and HSA Educational Programs in February

The Nebraska Bankers Association (NBA, nebankers.org) announced plans for introductory and advanced virtual courses about Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) and Health Savings Account (HSA) Frontline Fundamentals in February. The programs will be delivered online by a group of highly trained retirement-plan consultants who thoroughly understand the laws affecting IRAs and have daily contact with financial organizations that offer IRA products and specialize in providing practical solutions to the most complex IRA issues.

IRA Essentials is on tap for February 8–9, from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The course will provide participants with a solid foundation of IRA knowledge, with exercises included throughout the sessions to help participants apply information to job-related situations. This is a beginner’s course. On February 10–11, from 9 a.m. to noon each day, the NBA hosts Advanced IRAs, which builds on participants’ knowledge of IRA basics to address some of the more complex IRA issues their financial institutions may handle. This is an advanced session, so previous IRA knowledge is assumed. Finally, on February 12, again from 9 a.m. to noon, the Association is offering HSA Frontline Fundamentals to provide a foundation of HSA knowledge and help participants apply the information to real-world scenarios.

Founded in 1980, the Nebraska Bankers Association is the voice of Nebraska’s $77.9 billion banking industry, which comprises small, regional, and large banks that together employ more than 15,000 people and safeguard nearly $67.1 billion in deposits.
