The Nebraska Real Estate Specialty Group of Nebraska Realty (nebraskarealty.com) launched the Savvy Senior Transition™ System, a structured, compassion-driven approach designed to guide older adults and their families through one of life’s most emotional and complex decisions—moving from a long-time home.
Unlike traditional services that focus on selling property, the Savvy Senior Transition™ System focuses on people. The program was created to help seniors move from feeling overwhelmed and uncertain to feeling informed, confident, and at peace—whether they are downsizing, aging in place, relocating to senior living, or managing the home of a loved one with dementia.
“We saw too many families being rushed into decisions they weren’t ready to make,” said Alicia Chrastil, founder of the Nebraska Real Estate Specialty Group and Senior Transition Specialist. “This system slows the process down, protects a senior’s dignity and equity, and surrounds them with the right support before a sign ever goes in the yard.”
In addition to the new transition system, the organization is expanding its long-running educational outreach. The Nebraska Savvy Seniors Empowerment Seminars have officially launched in Omaha, and will now be held the second Wednesday of every month at St. Andrews Methodist Church, 15050 West Maple Road at 10 a.m.
Community-Focused Support
The Nebraska Real Estate Specialty Group partners with trusted local professionals—attorneys, financial planners, senior living communities, home modification providers, healthcare specialists and more – to provide wraparound guidance. The team also supports the Savvy Aging, the Nebraska Chapter of the National Aging in Place Council, further strengthening resources for older adults across the state.
