The Nebraska Savvy Seniors Empowerment Seminars (www.nesavvyseniors.com) continue this spring with a full slate of events designed to inform, uplift and connect Lincoln’s 55+ community. These free monthly gatherings offer education, resources, and a chance to build lasting relationships with others navigating similar life stages.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., seniors are invited to St. Mark’s Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd., for “Real Estate Made Easy.” This informative seminar will provide step-by- step guidance for those considering downsizing, selling a home or exploring new housing options. Experts in senior transitions and real estate will be available to answer questions and provide personalized advice. A complimentary lunch will be provided by the Alzheimer’s Association.
On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the Nebraska Savvy Seniors Empowerment Seminars return to St. Mark’s Church for another engaging and helpful session. This month’s topic is “Healthcare choices: One Size Doesn’t Fit All.” Attendees can expect the same welcoming environment and meaningful information that define the Savvy Seniors experience.
Then, to kick off the summer in style, seniors are invited to the Lincoln Savvy Senior Prom on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 5:30 PM at the Firefighter’s Reception Hall. This lively celebration will include a delicious meal, live entertainment from a magician and a special performance by Elvis impersonator Bill Chrastil. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each seminar. Guests are encouraged to bring a friend and those who complete an event survey will be entered into a door prize drawing, announced at the close of each gathering.
