Nebraska Recycling Council Holds Free Webinar on School Sustainability

Nebraska Recycling Council (www.nrcne.org) will be offering a free webinar on impacting school sustainability from the top down and the bottom up on December 4 at noon. From the educational archives of Keep America Beautiful to the new Pepsico Tool box, Chris Vail will present guidelines, practices, and methods that assist our communities in striving to recycle more, waste less, and focus on source reduction.

Chris Vail has been the executive director of Keep Keith County beautiful for five years, her first foray into the nonprofit world after being a business owner of a promotional fulfillment company for 25 years in Colorado. Chris has a BSC in marketing and organizational communications from Ohio University and has worked for Procter and Gamble in brand management, Vail Associates in communications, and Metro Networks in corporate development before starting her own company.

In addition, attendees will also hear from Mike Apple, superintendent of Ogallala Public Schools. Mike has served as a superintendent for over 10 years in Trenton and Ogallala, and was a principal for over 20 years. Mike has dedicated his life to achieving excellence in his schools and his students. Mike sits on boards of many professional organizations including Chair of the Nebraska Council of School Administrators.
