Nebraska Safety Council Celebrates Opening of New Location

The Nebraska Safety Council (nesafetycouncil.org) celebrated their new facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony conducted by Lincoln Chamber of Commerce on May 9. They are so excited to gain more classroom space at this new location. Each room pays tribute to the different ways the council pursues their vision.

The LifeSaver room hosts monthly First Aid, CPR/AED training courses and is named after the award given to member company employees who have used that training to save a life on the job. The Founders room commends local companies that were early adopters of promoting wellness and safety programs for their employees. Finally, the Legacy room honors the council’s Legacy Awards program that recognizes individuals for their impact in safety and health, both on and off the job.

The Nebraska Safety Council’s mission is to provide education and leadership to empower people to live safely and healthily. Many members of the community know the Nebraska Safety Council for Teen Driver Education, STOP classes, workplace safety and wellness training and consulting, and motorcycle rider courses. As a nonprofit, the council has been serving communities across Nebraska since 1961, their team is passionate about providing resources and support.
