Daughter of the founders of Pioneer Printing, Cyndy Harkins and current owner explains the decision of selling the business. “I’m way past retirement age and the opportunity to sell as an ongoing business was too good to pass up.”
Cyndy chose to sell to Minuteman because of the help they provide to owners trying to sell. “One of the services they offer is helping independent print shops sell their businesses. They find the buyer and handle most of the transition at no cost to the seller since the shop will then become part of the Minuteman franchise.”
“The best part has been working with my team for so many years, Dave has been here over 40 years and Cinda has been here more than 15, and, of course, our customers who are the best. We wouldn’t be here without them!”
Cyndy shares some advice she has for business owners. “It can be rewarding, frustrating, unpredictable all at the same time, but it’s never boring (at least this business). The ability to ‘go with the flow’, as they say, is required.”
